Corona Virus : Postponing your wedding day.

It's taken me a good few days to get my head around everything that's going on in the world at the moment. It's crazy to think about the scale of the situation that we're in and the amount of uncertainty of what will lie ahead over the next few days/weeks/months. What is certain though is that we MUST follow the government guidelines (no matter what you're opinion of Boris Johnson is) and STAY AT HOME.

Following Monday's announcement I'm sure you're all aware that weddings, amongst other celebrations have been cancelled, and it's not hard to imagine that the ban will last longer than three weeks. I have already contacted all of my couples who are supposed to be getting married within the next 12 weeks to reassure them that I will be fully flexible with their dates and do everything I can to accommodate them if they do need to reschedule their wedding date.

My advice to couples who are getting married during this time would be to first of all STAY CALM.

That may be a little easier said than done when you've been planning your dream day for quite a while and the prospect of it not happening the way you want is obviously heartbreaking. But please do not worry, the wedding supplier/vendor community want you to have the most amazing day and they will do everything they can to make that happen for you.

It's likely that if you're supposed to be getting married during this time that you'll have already been contacted by your suppliers but if you haven't heard from them then get in touch ASAP to see what they are able to do to help!

Please remember to BE KIND, the majority of wedding suppliers/vendors are self employed or small businesses and this is hitting us hard! We will do everything we can to accommodate any changes that need to be made and make sure that you still have the most amazing day.

Please also remember that we only know as much as you about how long this will all last, and when things might get back to normal or what the new normal might be.

What I do know is that I want to continue offering the same great service to all my couples and future couples for many years to come. I want to make sure that I am still able to make a living doing what I love at the end of all this.

Most of all I want to make sure that my Grandparents and family stay safe and are able to enjoy future celebrations. I also want to make sure that other peoples Grandparents and families are able to enjoy these moments too.

So please please please STAY AT HOME. PROTECT OUR NHS. SAVE LIVES.

Below I have collated a few articles which I thought might be helpful and give you a few tips about postponing your wedding. As and when I find more info I'll add them in here.
